Based largely on the decommissioned cranes in the Gdansk Shipyard, Poland, the series develops ideas of cranes as agents of urban change, skeletal figures that simultaneously influence the city in an abstract and practical way.

How does concrete relate to elemental and urban forces? How does the texture of concrete relate to the texture of society? How can printmaking be used to express architecture and tactility?
